And while I hate to admit it as a young Canadian myself, young Canadians aren't interested in the countries political leaders, their parties or even politics in general. When was the last time that a politician was able to connect with someone between 18 and 25 that wasn't in University or College? If Justin Trudeau surrounds himself with experienced, qualified and intelligent people there's no reason to think that he can't move forward with the Liberal platform and at the same time inspire Canadians young and old. Maybe the legacy of his father would stand out at first. In fact I have no doubt that it would be a huge story for the media. But just because his father was Prime Minister doesn't mean that young Justin Trudeau can't become his own man and politician with the opportunity to do what Stephane Dion and Paul Martin before him weren't able to do... make Canadians care.
